What's in my bag: the essentials list

I'm always interested in other bloggers' "inside-the-purse" posts. Maybe it's the psychology major in me, but I think peering in others' bags can be just as insightful as taking a peek into their bathrooms and bedrooms: you can learn so much from an individual based on what's important enough for them to carry around. (I think an entire episode of "Boy Meets World" was based around this concept in which Shawn meets his dream girlfriend after he finds her lost purse).

My bag changes everyday -- I have a work bag that I carry, but when I get home, I want to carry something smaller, and so I just carry what will fit in the bag. Here's what I usually carry to the park:

Mini-backpack: thrift find
Keys: featuring keychains from the Empire State Building, the Space & Rocket Center and Camp Rainey Mountain;
Lipstick: Estee Lauder in Pomegranate Rose
Cell phone
Hand sanitizer dispenser
A book: This one is "Batman and Philosophy: The Dark Knight of the Soul" (I'm a huge comic superhero fan)
Apartment gate opener

Not seen: my camera (a Kodak V1073) and my wallet (which was packed in the car at the time -- can't be too careful at the park).

I'd love to see what you carry in your bags...

signature1 by you.

  1. I have a lot of junk in my bag. I tend to use just one for a few months before getting bored and using another. In those few months I end up with mountains of lip gloss (so thats where it all goes...) reciepts, pens, change, etc.

  4. Mine has an ass load of reciepts and gum wrappers (oh ya and random lip glosses) in them. Yours is very pristine in comparison. I love the mini backpack!!
