I can feel it coming in the air tonight

Dress (as top): thrifted, Hannah Hardy;
Skirt: thrifted;
Belt: Ann Taylor Loft;
Bag: thrifted;
Shoes: Naturalizers.
Photos by Jeremiah.

Here's what I wore Saturday for some tailgating fun for the UGA/Tennessee matchup. Please excuse the lighting in the photos -- noon games don't really lend themselves well to great lighting! But it was a great time. Remember this body-con dress? It's what I'm wearing as my top. I was actually pretty proud of this outfit when I conceived it in my head -- it seemed Audrey Hepburn-esque with the full skirt, and almost everything I'm wearing is a thrift find. I like being able to show my sartorial interests. But when I see these photos, they didn't really turn out the way I saw myself. If I could do it over again, I'd just ditch the belt. It kept moving around way too much for it to be useful.

So it's Monday, and I'm still pretty sniffly. Just trying to keep this  cold from becoming full-blown. I've had so much water/Crystal Lite and Dayquil in the last couple of days. Hoping I can keep this under bay because this is an exciting week for me -- this Saturday is Sidewalk Chalk's first blogiversary!

Hope you all have a great start to the week,

signature1 by you.

Echinacea! That always helps me. Maybe not everyone, but it helps me.

You look amazing in this outfit! I love the slight pattern mixing in the lace and the polka dots. The pops of red are perfect.

The lace with the polka dots is perfect. I do like the pop of red in the belt here - although, I understand shifty belts, sometimes they're more trouble than they're worth!

I love the red and black and you KNOW I love the title of this post. :D Lovely example of pattern mixing in a subtle way.

Joann! I agree with COllete, I also love the polka and lace together. The bag is so vintage, I think I will include that in my next target buys (but it's so small, i was never a small bag girl)

You look more beautiful each time I check your blogs :)

Super cute! I love the pop of red from the belt and the polka dots are great! Its a shame the belt didn't quite stay put though. I hope the tailgating was fun and you get better soon! Congratulations on the upcoming blogiversary! :)

The outfit looks awesome, no matter what you think :) But if the belt feels uncomfortable, well... ditch it, I guess.

Cheers,
