Pay no attention to that girl behind the tripod

 Dress: Arlene Airess, thrifted, vintage;
Skeleton key necklace: vintage, from Minx;
Shoes: Zigi Soho; Jacket: Express, thrifted.

This week got significantly better when :

a) I got my car back after some repairs (turns out it was a battery issue);
b) and the weather forecast for the rest of the week calls for sunny skies and 60-plus degree weather. Yes! Photography is going to be so much fun this week.

One of the negatives to nice weather is that a lot of my photography locations are no longer so private. Lots of people are out enjoying the nice weather that it's hard to take landscape and style shots discreetly. I was in the woods on a trail when I took these photos, and I was spotted by two bicyclists, as well as a father and a young son. All of the instances were several yards away, so I think they were more startled and curious as to what I was up to. I think sometimes people are a little creeped out, because they might see the tripod and think I want to take photos of them like a covert secret agent or something. No, just enjoying some scenery and a good dose of narcissism over here, thank you! (I don't really say that).

It's all just a bit embarrassing, but I guess I'll have to change the times of day when I go. Or start wearing a superhero mask when I do, so that my tripod isn't what they're focusing on ...

Got any recent awkward bystander stories in regards to your blog photography?
