Dear Mother Nature,

It's rather difficult to dress nowadays. I'm realizing how many clothes I don't wear because I don't like them. I own a lot of tank tops that I no longer wear, even in summer. And I only have five skirts, and about eleven dresses, most of which are summer oriented. Taking stock of my closet has made me realize how much my style has changed. I'd rather wear skirts and dresses, but I turn back to jeans and sweats when I'm not feeling creative. And now, because of the cold, I'm stuck in a winter rut. Oh, winter won't you be my muse? Help me find ways to wear my comfy skirts and dresses. That or go back to your normal Georgia temperatures so I can go back to rockin' skirts. Please and thank you!

OK, even though I begged Georgia climates to agree with me, Georgia didn't cooperate. It's still very cold. But I made a full attempt to not wear jeans today. Two pairs of tights and hat for warmth? I think so.

This hat was made for goofy faces.

Today I caved and edited the first four pictures. I never do this. None of my pictures on this blog have been edited until today. But I caved because I knew my sister would send me a persistent text message telling me to edit them. Jo edits hers because her camera takes dark pictures, my camera is strange and has weird lighting, so I never have to edit. But she wants me to. So I did this for her.

what i wore: target cardigan, skirt,&hat; forever 21 tank top; payless and apt 9 tights; secondhand belt; thrifted necklace; diba pilot boots for dsw
picture of the day:
This is Toby. He is a Jack Russel/Lab mix. And I love him.

Nikki, I love this look. The bright cardigan and the bright sweater next paired with the dark skirt is perfect. And the necklace complements the whole ensemble!

Cute outfit! I love the boots. I also understand you clothing dilemma, I have to many skirts and dresses but the cold weather leads me to jeans and only jeans. I can't wait for the nice, warm Florida weather again!

No, I don't live near the Aleutians. I do have Aleut blood, though. My ancestors are from that area.

Aww, I love him too! What a cutie pie! You should try thick leggings instead of tights for warmth. Sometimes I'll wear wool tights under thick leggings, but I'm a total wimp when it comes to cold weather.

Totally agree. Winter tends to suck the energy and creativity away...it's sweat pant inducing.
The good news is, your skirt si super cute and flouncy!
