Pickin' me a bouquet of dogwood flowers

 Dress: vintage, thrifted; Shoes: Zigi Soho; Belt: Ann Taylor Loft;
Ring: from Medieval Times, gift from Jeremiah (read the story here).
Listening to: "Wagon Wheel," Old Crow Medicine Show.

This was one of my favorite shoots to do in awhile, because all the elements worked in the right way: I got up early enough to get the right kind of lighting, the weather was just right, the colors worked well, I was wearing one of my favorite old dresses. I took many photos in each spot, and as the sun crept up higher, I felt like a little kid telling mom that I wanted five more minutes to play on the playground. These kinds of days -- the every-element-is-perfect-and-photogenic kind of days -- are occasional and happen just a couple times a year, and I'm glad I got to capture some of it. And as if I needed more assurance about my great morning,  I spotted the ever-elusive egret on my way out of the park, followed very closely by an avid bird watcher with binoculars. A good Wednesday for all, I hope.

I keep oscillating between deciding to shorten the hemline on this dress or keeping it at a longer length. What do you think?
